2007-08-23 [Melocrie]: Yea, I know what you mean. If Omnia hadn't been here in Holland, I would probably have left too, but in search for other Pagans. Their music changes life, you know. Well.. they themselves do. You know, you should go to their website and read some of their old blogs. Then you'll get an idea of what they are like :)
And why not leave America one day? I'm sure it would finally give you some peace that you deserve...

I'm so happy i can be consider a friend of them, so of course i can recommend them more than just a Fan, so go ahead and listen all you want! i have some clips in my deviant account if someone wish to see them, also of Faun, the other band that play together with Omnia and the other way around.

I hope that some people take the chance to go to Castlefest next year, it is tough yes, but well worth it.

By the way, Jenny of Omnia is Alan Lee's niece ;)

By the way I found some Faun music in a CD a friend had sent me (mp3 *rolls eyes* what can we do) and they're good too. More.. uhm.. wild is not the right word... They sound less folk and more pagan than Omnia(not meaning this in a bad way). I might use the word ritualistic... It's morning I'm bad with words now -.-

I think ritualistic is the right word :) Though I do like Omnia better for some reason, more energetic maybe... Faun is also a bit more melodic, I like them too ^^

2007-08-28 [Jitter]: Yeah I like Omnia better too :) More my style :D Closer to those Irish folk things I used to hear :D I think the best word would be shamanic maybe. (Or I'm playing too much WoW on a shaman xD)

2007-08-28 [Fearathress]: XD.. WoW can do that for you. Omnia is the closest thing that I have heared that remindes me of the old songs that were sung in my family.

2007-08-29 [Kuruni]: I cannot decide who is better, i like them both.

I just feel more drawn to Faun because of personal reasons and a strong friendship with one of the members and his girlfriend, but i must say that Omnia has something that Faun does not have and i think that Omnia can raise the dead and make them dance. Lots of energy.

Faun can uplift the spirit and really make you fall in love with the songs.

If i had to put them in a fantasy world, Omnia would be the goblins, halflings and pixies and Faun would be the elves, Mermaids and Nymphs. Both are equally great for me.

Have you listen to The Moon and the Nightspirit?
What about Rapalje?

I'm not so fond of Rapalje, though... Some of their songs are great, I think, really energetic. But I dislike others because there's hardly any meaning in it...

2007-09-16 [Melocrie]: It's a little louder, but "Trollfest" is a funny one. It's technically mostly screaming the word 'beer' or 'mead', but with hilarious banjo lines in between xD
Or else you could try Medieval Baebes, but I'm sure you saw them too.

At Castlefest, my friends truly hated the Medieval Baebes... I dunno, they just do something to me.. I love the way they sing and chant together.
